Low-Tech Communication Technology
What is it?
A GoTalk is a simple device that allows students to communicate to others through a touch of a button. Cardboard inserts are used with different words, questions, and statements, when you press the word, question, or statement, a electronic voice says it. In some GoTalks, the teacher, guardian, or Educational Assistant can record their own voice to respond to the touch.
How is it used in the Classroom?
GoTalks are used with students who have little to no communication abilities. They provide a child a voice and vocabulary when they have non themselves. GoTalks can be taken and used anywhere and at any time during the day.
