Plate Boundaries

Mrs.Webb, Science 4, 3/26/14

There are three different types of plate boundaries. The first one that I am going to talk about is convergent boundaries. Convergent Boundaries- Two tectonic plates that are moving towards each other.

EX: mountains

Divergent Boundaries- Two tectonic plates that are moving away from each other.

EX: the continental crust moving apart

Transform Boundaries- Two tectonic plates that are scraping against each other, but from different directions.

EX: San Andreas fault

These pictures might look cool, but divergent, convergent, and transform boundaries can be very dangerous.
