Jove (Jupiter, Zeus)
By: Julian, Joaquin
Jove is known as the king of the Gods. He appears as an older man with curly grey hair and his beard is the same. He is known as the God of heaven. He is known as the carrier of the lightning bolt, the God of thunder and rain. His symbol would be a lightning bolt.
The literary definition of allusion is to refer to something the reader already knows.
Relations to Much Ado About Nothing
Zeus's erotic ways is very similar to what Hero is accused of in the play. She was framed by Claudio of cheating while Zeus was also known for doing this as well. Shakespeare uses allusions to give more meaning to things without having to go into great detail on it, since the reader is already aware of it.
