limiting factors- factors that limit the type of life forms able to live in a ocean environment include temperature, sunlight,pressure,oxygen concentration and nutrient availability.

a shark and catfish are two organisms in the ocean that have a predator/prey relationship. if theres no small fish in the ocean then catfish would die and the shark wont have anything to eat and it will die.

energy roles

a producers makes its own food then gets eaten by a consumer.

a consumer is an organism that feeds off of plants and gets eaten by a decomposer.

a decomposer is bacteria or fungus that breaks down cells from dead organisms.

producers are the most important things because they get energy from the sun and make there own food.

food chains and food webs

food webs are more realistic than food chains because they have more animals than food chains.

photosynthesis

definition:the process by which green plants and some other organisms use sunlight to synthesize foods from carbon dioxide and water

formula: 6CO2 + 6H2O ------> C6H12O6 + 6O2

tropisms

definition: a biological phenomenon, indicating growth or turning movement of a biological organism, usually a plant, in response to an environmental stimulus.

some plants in the ocean move towards the sun which is tropism.

the plants help other fish to live because they eat plants.

its moving towards the sun


decomposers

decomposers are helpful in the ocean by cleaning all dead eaten plants or animals.

without decomposers the ocean would have a lot of dead animals and plants on the bottom.

I recommend that you separate the biotic and abiotic factors with their pictures. For example, list the biotic factors with the biotic pictures, and then list the abiotic factors with the abiotic pictures.

maybe put all of your abiotic and biotic pictures into a gallery? (don't add them individually-- add them all at once and it will create a gallery automatically); all of your descriptions and explanations are looking good so far, but you need to include the graphics needed, too. also-- move the photosynthesis graphic down to the photosynthesis section. doing a great job with keeping things organized; it's easy to tell when you are transitioning to the next step.
