According to the Oxford Advanced American Dictionary, respect can be defined as "a feeling of admiration for somebody or something because of their good qualities or achievements". In my opinion, respect is more than a elaborated definition.
Respect is a wide concept that covers different aspects in our lives. Respect begins for oneself: sleep well, mental health, and fitness. In addition these good habits, we need to have a positive attitude for those around us. In this point starts the second part: respect for others. An example of this in an academic context is arriving on time, being polite, and perhaps the most important, respecting each other's opinions, cultures, beliefs, and different ideas.
