Adult CPR

Step 1 - Check the Scene, make sure it is safe to begin CPR

Step 2 - Check the Person, see if they are concious

Step 3 - Call 9-1-1, activate EMS

Step 4 - Give 30 chest compressions, at the rate of 100 per minute, make sure they are 2 inches into the chest

Step 5 - Open the airway and attempt 2 rescue breaths

Step 6 - Repeat steps 4 and 5 until help arrives

Tackk it up!

Child CPR

Step 1 - Check the Scene, make sure it is safe to begin CPR, the middle of a dodgeball game is not a good place

Step 2 - Check the Child, look for life sgns

Step 3 - Call 9-1-1 and activate EMS

Step 4 - Begin 30 chest compressions, 100 per minute, 1 or 1 and a half inches deep, use one hand

Step 5 - Open the airway attempt 2 rescue breaths

Step 6 - Repeat steps 4 and 5 until help arrives

Infant CPR

Step 1 - Check the Scene

Step 2 - Check the Baby

Step 3 - Call 9-1-1

Step 4 - Begin 30 chest compressions, 100 per minute, 1/3 depth of chest, using only your fingers

Step 5 -Open the airway attempt 2 rescue breaths

Step 6 - Repeat steps 4 and 5 unti help arrives


Adult Unconscious Choking


Step 1 - Lower the person to the ground,(if you have to)

Step 2 - Activate EMS

Step 3 - Give 30 chest compressions

Step 4 - Open airway and check mouth for object, sweep out an object if there is one

Step 5 - Attempt rescue breaths, if they don't go in re-position and try again

Step 6 - Repeat until person become concious or help arrives

Child Unconcious Choking

Step 1 - Lower patient savely to ground

Step 2 - Activate EMS

Step 3 - Give 30 chest compressions

Step 4 - Open airway and check for object

Step 5 - Attempt rescue breaths, if they dont go in try again

Step 6 - Continue steps 3-5 until help arrives or person becomes concious

Infant Unconcious Choking

Step 1 - Lower baby safely to ground

Step 2 - Activate EMS

Step 3 - Give 30 chest compressions, make sure to use only fingers

Step 4 - Open airway and check for object, use pinky finger to swipe out an object

Step 5 - Attempt two rescue breaths, if they dont go in reposition and try again

Step 6 - Repeat steps 3-5 until help arrives or victim becomes conscious

Adult and Child Conscious Choking

Step 1 - Ask person if they are choking

Step 2 - Stand behind victim with one foot inbetween their feet and one foot behind you, then put the flat side of your fis t just above victims belly button and grab it with your other hand.

Step 3 - Give abdominal thrusts until object comes out and victim becomes conscious

Infant Conscious Choking

Step 1 - Check if the baby is breathing normal or acting normal

Step 2 - Put baby on your forearm and support its face, keeping its head lower than its body

Step 3 - Give 5 back blows, between shoulder blades

Step 4 - Turn baby over and give 5 chest thrusts

Step 5 - Continue steps 4 and 5 until object comes out or baby goes unconscious
