Ida B. Burnett

This is Ida B. Burnett!
Burnett was born on July 16, 1862, and was born in Holly Springs, MS.Her parents Were Elizabeth "Izzy Bell" Warrenton, James Madison Wells.Ida Bell Wells-Barnett was an African-American journalist, newspaper editor, suffragist, sociologist and, with her husband, newspaper owner Ferdinand L. Barnett, an early leader in the civil rights movement. She was also in the NAACP.
In 1889 Wells became a partner in the Free Speech and Headlight. In 1895 Wells married the editor of one of Chicago's early Black newspapers. Her Fiancé was F. L. Barnett. He was an Attorney too.
Burnett died Chicago, Illinois 1931.She did not stay retired long and continued writing and organizing. She had Died at Age 68 and sadly did not see Segregation end somewhere in 1965. Ida Wells-Barnett died of uremia on 25th March, 1931. Uremia is a raised level in the blood of urea and other nitrogenous waste compounds that are normally eliminated by the kidneys.
Ida B. Was a great women and we still remember her every Black History Month and Every Day.
