Leukemia are unusual white blood cells and break down your done tissue. A 5-year survival rate is the percentage of people who are still alive 5 years or more after being diagnosed. Symptoms:Unexplained fevers, Frequent infections, Night sweats, Fatigue (feeling tired or washed out), Weight loss, Easy bleeding or bruising. Treatment is Chemotherapy, is the major form of treatment for leukemia. This drug treatment uses chemicals to kill leukemia cells. Depending on the type of leukemia you have, you may receive a single drug or a combination of drugs. Leukemia is either acute or chronic. In acute leukemia, the unussual blood cells are blasts that remain very immature and cannot carry out their normal functions. The number of blasts increases rapidly, and the disease gets worse quickly. In chronic leukemia, some blast cells are present.
