Martin Luther King's Biography

Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15th in1929. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He was American.

His father was Martin Luther King Sr. and her mother was Alberta Williams. His older sister was Willie Christine and his younger brother was Alfred Daniel. In 1953, he got married to Coretta Scott and they had four children: Yolanda, Martin Luther III, Dexter and Bernice.

He was a reverend. He believed in non-violent resistance and he thought that black and white people had the same rights.

He was the youngest to receive the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964. Also, he won the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1977 and the Congressional Gold Medal in 1964.

He died on April 4th in 1968. He was assassinated.
