Unit 3- Culture: Patterns & Processes

Samantha Torres

THE GROUPS~

~ The Government of Guatemala (40 msu's)

~Wealthy and Army Class (200 msu's)

~Peasants (0 msu's)

~Guerillas (60 msu's)

~The USA (60 msu's)

The Wealthy and Army Class had most of the power because they had the most MSU's.

THE POWER SHIFTING-

The reason why the power was shifting is because the groups wanted to get elected so they tried to give away their MSU's. The MSU's were the reason why groups were more powerful than others and the election votes showed power too.

COOPERATION & CONFLICT:

Cooperation and conflict was a big deal between the Guerillas and the Army and Wealthy class because they both wanted the votes of the Peasants(because the Peasants had double votes for the election).

THE USA'S ROLE~

The USA's role in the simulation was that they held every group together and made sure that there was peace between all the groups. They made sure that we had a clean and safe election.

POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE EFFECT-

When power shifts with the groups there's both a positive and negative effect. Its both because when a group gains MSU's that's a positive effect. If a group lost MSU's that'd be  a negative effect for their group.

COOPERATION & CONFLICT (MY LIFE)

An example of cooperation in my life is when I gave my brother money so that he'd go to the store and buy me cookie dough ice cream! An example of conflict in my life is when my sister and I argue over what we want to wear.
