Manson was born November 12, 1934. He's still alive today, he's 80! His parents are Kathleen Maddox and Walker Scott. His mother wanted nothing to do with him. She was a prostitute and alcoholic. His father wanted nothing to do with him either. Mason was placed in an all boys school. He was homeless and got into petty crimes. He married twice. He has 4 children... Valentine Mason, Charles Luthor, Rebecca Evens, and Charles Mason Jr. A new chapter in his life began in 1955 when he married a 17-year-old girl and moved with her to California. She became pregnant, but Manson resumed a life of crime again, once again stealing cars. It wasn't long before he was back behind bars, and by 1956 his estranged wife had left with their child and her new lover. Manson later had another child with a different woman while out on probation.
Manson was released on March 21, 1967, and the following year he would spearhead a murderous campaign that would make him one of the most infamous figures in criminal history. Manson was also influenced not only by drugs such as LSD but by art works and music of the time such as The Beatles song "Helter Skelter" from their White Album. After 1967, Manson gathered a group of followers who shared his passion for an unconventional lifestyle and habitual use of hallucinogenic drugs, such as LSD and magic mushrooms."The Family," as they became known, moved to San Francisco and later to a deserted ranch in the San Fernando Valley. His followers, numbering around 100, also included a small hard-core unit of impressionable young girls. They began to believe, without question, Manson's claims that he was Jesus and his prophecies of a race war.
Being in the Manson Family
Everyone was brother and sister. You were welcomed with open arms. If you were homeless, a runaway or just need a family.. the Manson Family is where you were excepted. LSD and another drugs were something the members and Manson did quite offend. There were about 20 to 30 people that was part of the Manson Family. But altogether was about 100 members that followed him believed he was a god. They believed in pure happiness. The Hippie Movement was a very big thing during the 1960's. Everyone was a Hippie in the Manson Family.
The Influence of the Beatles on Charles Manson
One of the two great influences on the thinking of Charles Manson, along with the Book of Revelation, was the musical group the Beatles. According to Family members, Manson would most often quote "the Beatles and the Bible." The two influences were linked, in that Manson saw the four Beatles members as being the "four angels" referred to in Revelation 9. Revelation 9 also tells of "locusts"--the Beatles, of course--coming out upon the earth. Manson believed that the Beatles spoke to him through their lyrics, especially those included in the White Album, released in December 1968. Several songs from the White Album crystalized Manson's thinking about a coming revolt by blacks against the white Establishment.
The women of The Manson Family
The women were a big part of the Manson Family. Manson made these girls that he was some kind of god. With no drugs or anything.. Manson convinced these young girls to be part of his "family". The girls were in love with Manson. They believed and listened to everything he told them to do. Charlie thought "These are your children, you threw them out and I took them in." The girl were willing to kill for him and do anything for Charlie.
Manson Family Massacre
The first victims fell on August 9, 1969, at Roman Polanski's Beverley Hills home at 10050 Cielo Drive. Manson chose four of his most obedient comrades—Charles "Tex" Watson, Susan Atkins, Patricia Krenwinkel and Linda Kasabian—to carry out these heinous crimes. Kasabian acted as the getaway driver and was to become the star witness during the trial. The victims inside the house, actress Sharon Tate; writer Wojciech Frykowski and his partner, the coffee bean heiress Abigail Folger; and celerity hairstylist Jay Sebring, had returned to the Polanski residence after dining out. Polanksi himself was away in London shooting a film. After all the brutal killings and shooting... Manson tells his '' family '' that they did "A sloppy job."

Why I did choose Charles Manson?
I picked Manson because, he's one of my favorite serial killers. It's amazing to think that one man can control so many people. He made these people believe that he was some kind of God without using any drugs. The ladies loved him and men wanted to be him. People killed for him to show their love appreciation for him. Although he didn't commit any of the crimes that he planned, he still remain in prison.
