Industrial Revolution One Word Summary Tyler Heston 8th Hour

During the industrial revolution a lot of childhood was lost, by them working in the labor factories. They had the hardest work conditions of the time, since all the other jobs were taken by the men the jobs fell to the kids to do it. From an article “Childhood Lost- Child Labor During the Industrial Revolution”, “Young children working endured some of the harshest conditions. Workdays would often be 10 to 14 hours with minimal breaks during the shift.” (eiu.edu). This shows that they had a lot of responsibility even though they were young. Most of them had limited access to education also. This is how the children affected the industrial revolution.
