World Famous Artist/Sculptor/Ceramicist of the 1920's
Pablo Picasso was born October 25, 1881 in Malaga, Spain. Around 1910, Picasso began a new type of artwork called Cubism that extended other styles such as expressionism, surrealism, and futhrism. In 1950, he was award the Stalin Peace Prize for his involvement in the Soviet Union. This award showed that he cared for others than just himself and his paintings. He died April 8, 1973 in Mougins, France.
