New Mexico

A spanish explorer named francisco vaśquez de Coronado was searching for gold which he traveled the region that became New Mexico in 1940-1542. In 1598 the first Spanish settlement was establish on the rio grande river by Juan de ornate and in 1610 Santa Fe was founded and made the capital of new Mexico.


The mission of the Department of Education Leadership & Administration at New Mexico State University is to prepare and graduate capable, skillful and dymanic educational leaders for a diverse society. Through the use of theory and practice we aim to develop change agents and role models for socially- just educational system.

Climate region

The northern western Mexico and northern areas are drier than the rest of the country. It is hot in the summer and north winds can make inlands northern Mexico chilly in winter with temperature sometimes approaching freezing. Inland at higher elevations, the climate is also dry and temperature, and the mountain peaks are often capped with snow


The new Mexico population have 10 largest cities which are Albuquerque, las cruses, Santa Fe, Rio Rancho, Roswell, Farmington, Clovis, Hobbs, Alamogordo, Carisbad. The land area in new Mexico is 121,356 sq mi. (314,312 sq km)
