Haiti:1970

Throughout the 1970 Haiti was experienced immigration because of the horrible treatment and policies the government established and it affected the Haitians in a terrible way. For instance, the government policies that caused the Haitians to immigrate and leave Haiti is because of the poverty or the condition of being without adequate food, or money. Although the Haitian government has committed money to improve health and nutritional services, severe poverty remains. The Haitian government in 1970 had problems throughout, for instants, their economy and the Haitians suffered from poverty. Economic growth has been well below its potential because of population pressure and inappropriate policy in agriculture; protection in industry; and insufficient tax revenues for expanding current public expenditures, resulting in public savings inadequate to finance the development effort.  Although the Haitian government has committed money to improve health and nutritional services, but severe poverty remains.  Papa Doc's 14-year rule, enforced by his terrifying secret police, the Tonton Macoutes, isolated Haiti from the Western World. U. S. aid was cut off for 10 of those years. This policy affected the Haitians in a tragic way, for example when the Haitians gets an illness that could affect the whole country they wouldn't have any aid or assistance from the Western World or the U.S.

These events and conditions led people to leave Haiti and spread  to the United States. The conditions in Haiti is unbearable to live in with low economy, food, and health. Under Papa Doc's policies Haitians immigrated to different countries causing Haiti's population to decrease.
