BY: TYLER CARTER.
She was born on Aug 28, 1952 (age 61). Her death was unknown on website.
Her school was in the university of Virginia. Her type of literature is: Poems, novels. One of her poem that most people notice is GOLDEN OLDIE. Interesting facts about her is that she received the pultizer prize in poetry for thomas and beuler, a colection published in 1986.
An example of one of her poems is called EXIT,
just when hope withers, the visa is granted. the door opens to a street like in movies, clean of people,of cats except its your street you are leaving. A visa has been granted to you, "provisionally" a fretful word. BY: RITTA DOVE.
TYPE OF POEM
Her poems are mostly lyric cause they express her thoughts and feelings.
She mostly sometimes write in simile EXAMPLE: driveway-swaying at the wheel like blind pianist caught in a tune meant for more than two hands playing.
WHAT THE AUTHOR MEANT
The author meant that when she was leaving out the driveway it was like the path was moving with her like inside a tune where two hands play. I chose this cause she wrote what she felt. I like best is that she just came out and said something random and wrote it down.
ELEMENTS OF POETRY
I found similes in her poems EX: The doors open like in the movies.
The sensory language is sight because she says that the road looks like its moving.
