The Moon's Importance
Brayden Williams 4th hour
The Moon's movement causes phases, tides, and eclipses. A phases is the shape we see from earth. A tide is the rise and fall in ocean water. An eclipses is where the moon, sun, and earth line up and some sunlight is blocked out.
Moon phases are the shapes we see from earth. This is caused by the moon reflecting sun light. Sometimes we don't see anything that's because the dark aide of moon is facing earth.
Tides are the rise and fall of ocean water. No moon no tides. Yes tides can be bad but there good. Tides cause floods some times. Tides are one thing that is caused by the moons movements.
Eclipses are were sunlight is blocked out. There are two types solar and lunar. Solar o's where te moon blocks out sun light. Lunar is where the earth blocks out sun light. Solar eclipses are more rare. Both eclipses are rare though.
Three things caused by the movement of the moon are moon phases, tides and eclipses. The are all different but relate in ways. A moon phase is the shape we see from earth. Tide is the rise and fall of ocean water. An eclipse is where the sun, earth, and moon line up and some sunlight is blocked out. Those are the three things caused by the Moon's movements.
