In session 1 we made a blue print of our tower. We learned about the different models and how strong they where, and how different things can affect them.
In session 2 I learned the difference between an architect and an engineer. An architect makes a blueprint and the engineer builds it but also makes sure that it would be safe for other people and they will make sure it will be able to withstand any weight or any weather that confronts it.
In session 3 I constructed one side of my tower using the wooden strips. I learned how the tension can be affected by how much weight is added.
In session 4-6 we constructed our tower designs. I learned about the compression that my tower will need to hold, and how to create a stronger tower. I finished all of my sides of my tower and connected them all together.
A good career that would be associated with this module would probably be real estate agents. For example of a client asks for a house with a hot tub built inside, then the real estate agents can call the engineer and he/she can build the house. Another good career would be construction workers. when the are building bridges on the highway and they need to build supports for the DYNAMIC cars droving on it then they will have to hire a civil engineer to make a plan to support the load. The construction workers need a design to build or else they wouldn't know what to build.
