Great Leap Forward
The result of The Great Leap Forward was starvation and death. People were forbidden to leave the area and were therefore subjected to starvation. Even as these people were starving, the government was shipping grain from the area to the Soviet Union to repay loans.
People were taken from their homes and dragged through the streets wearing dunce hats. Friends betrayed each other and children turned from their parents.
