A haiku is a short poem and is not a rhyming poem either. Haikus are most often about nature. This form of poetry was developed by the Japanese people. This form is now known and is popular all over the world. It's tone can be very thoughtful but sometimes it can be playful. It also has a specific pattern and consists of only 3 lines. It's pattern or structure is 5 syllables for the first line, 7 syllables for the second line, and 5 syllables again for the third line.
