Leonardo Da Vinci

By: Daniela Marcor

Leonardo Da Vinci was born April 15, 1452 in Vinci, Italy where he was home schooled by his dad. He never married so he did not have or adopt any children. He died May 2, 1519 in Amboise, France. The reason for his death is unknown but some believe it was because of his health.

What did he create? Paintings, sculptures and drawings some famous painting are the Mona Lisa which is the painting of the lady shown above and another one is the last supper which is displayed down below (I will let you know when we get there). The most used media for him would be oil paints and ink. He created realism art, realism in the arts may be generally defined as the attempt to represent subject matter truthfully, without artificiality and avoiding artistic conventions, implausible, exotic and supernatural elements. "Where the spirit does not work with the hand, there is no art'" was a quote he said.

In case you weren't listening it took Leonardo Da Vinci 10 years to completely finish The Mona Lisa
