Georges Braque

A French Artist

Georges Braque was a modern french painter. Along with Picasso they developed analytical cubism. Georges Braque was born May 13, 1882 and died on August 31, 1963. He was also born in Argentieul France. In November of 1907 Braque and Picasso began to work on the development of cubism. He studied art at École des Beaux-Arts. His paintings from 1908 to 1913 reflected his interest in geometry and in his simultaneous perspective. Georges Braque was born just seven months after Picasso, in a small community on the seine near Paris.
