Francis Bacon was 65 years old when he died in 1626. He was an English philosopher, statesman, scientist, jurist, orator, and author. He was the Attorney General and Lord Chancellor of England. He is also known as the creator of empiricism.

Sir Francis Bacon was the first scientist to reach Knighthood. He is famous for his scientific experiments and his quote "Knowledge is power". He famously died while getting pneumonia during his own experiment trying to freeze meat.
