1.what is Feudalism?

A form of government structure

2.what led to the rise of Feudalism in Japan?

The weak central government could not control fighting among the daimyo (powerful land owners). Lawlessness led small landowners to become vassals(often received land from the daimyo and in return for this the vassal offered military service to the daimyo) of the daimyo for protection.

3. What are 3 art forms from ancient Japan and how did they impact/influence society at that time period?

Noh were plays with actors telling folktales and legends told to the upper class and common eople.

Kabuki is a combination of singing and dancing with elaborate costumes and heavy makeup that was used to inform the citizens.

Haiku is a writing style where you can only used 17 syllables that reflect the spirit of zen.

4. What was the social structure of Feudal Japan? Be sure to explain why each class is placed where they were in the Japanese social structure.

Emperor(symbolic leader but had no real power),shogun & Daimyo(powerful land owners that controlled the power in japan) samurai they serve the nobles also the nobles paid their taxes and other expenses, peasants were laborers they worked for the nobles by doing the hard labor.
