The Smallest Church in World
It's the Cross Island Chapel in Oneida, New York. Don't let the name fool you. It's not on an island but on a wooden piling in the middle of a pond and the only way to reach to the church is by rowboat. With an area of 28 square feet, merely the bride, groom and minister can stand there for a wedding. The rest of the party has to wait for the ceremony to be over.
Some also believe that the Chapel of the Madonna located at the Point Pleasant, Louisiana is the smallest chapel in the world.
These are not as famous as churches in Venice, but worth a visit.
