The city is right next to the bay. It is so busy with people and and neighborhoods. There is plenty of shopping and cool eating places. The people are very nice. They are always on the go.

The San Francisco Municipal Railway known as Muni, is the primary public transit system. They also have shuttle buses and ferries to also get around the city.

I visited a friend that lived near San Francisco, and one of the things that stood out to me was getting to see Alcatraz, and realizing how close the island really was to San Francisco! It was one of those things that really made history come alive :)
