B.I.S. International Day

Saturday, 28th June 2014 - 13:00 - 17:00

Dear Parents,

We are now on countdown to staging one of B.I.S.'s most popular annual events - International Day. Last year over 25 countries were represented!

International Day gives students and families a chance to showcase all the great things about where they come from - the food, the culture - whether its games, photos, national dress and all of its many rich traditions.

We will feature a large Stage programme this year where we fully encourage students to perform something from their homeland. There will also be a wandering 'Parade of Flags' featuring a long line of children from each country literally flying the flag and featuring where possible, their national dress.

There will be something for every age group - basketball, soccer and even a special enclosed play area for the kita children.

But we need your help!

A great event like this of course, can not be organised without all of your help. Please look below for any area that we are need of help and/or assistance:

  • I would love to organise or help organise my country's stand
  • I would like to donate a cake/pie for the Coffee & Tea Restaurant
  • I would like to donate a basket (hamper) to be raffled for a good cause
  • I would like to be part or suggest an act for the Stage Programme
  • I do not know what to do but I would like to offer my assistance

A hard copy of this mail will go out at the end of the week. Please fill out the form then and have your son/daughter hand it in to the primary or secondary school office.

So come and represent your magnificent country and proudly showcase its traditions! We look forward to hearing from you.
